About the program
The program aims to form the preacher as a devoted, godly person and to develop his ability to preach accurately from a specific, self-contained passage of Scripture, using effective rhetorical techniques for clearer communication.
All of this serves to develop and refine the methodology of explanatory preaching (expository preaching) — both in the content of the sermon and in the way it is delivered.
The philosophy behind the homiletical principle of expository preaching rests on the apostolic charge to the ministers of Christ’s Church: “Preach the word” (2 Tim. 4:2), grounded in the fact that “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16–17).
