Study Weekend on 2 Samuel

This expository weekend has two main goals:

1. To understand 2 Samuel
King David is mentioned in the Bible almost a thousand times — more than any other person except Jesus Christ. Why is David so important in God’s purpose? During this seminar we will look for the answer by studying 2 Samuel, to see how God reveals His plans and promises through David’s life.

2. To learn to preach and teach from 2 Samuel
The second goal is to help those who want to preach or teach from this book. We will focus on how to interpret biblical historical narrative rightly — the most common genre in Scripture. The weekend will help participants not only understand the story of David’s reign but also see its theological message and practical application for ministry today.

Who will benefit:

• preachers and Bible teachers

• seminary students

• church ministers

• anyone who wants a deeper understanding of the Old Testament
